Joyful.

Happy day, Girls!

I made this card for my husband for Christmas. It didn't start out that way, it was just going to be a simple Christmas card with this simple JOYFUL sentiment from Studio G, but then once again I was left with open space that needed to be filled. So I added this pretty little chipboard heart that I got on ETSY some time ago. Once I decided the card was for him and had the heart on there, I had to stitch the side because he thinks my sewing on cards is so cool.

Happy Birthday birdie.

So ask me why I put that birdie there. Go ahead and ask me. I'll tell you why I put that birdie there: because I had a big ol' open space to fill! Yeah, not sure that goes there, but I don't care, manly birthday cards are what I have so few of in my stash and this Pink Paislee Amber Road paper just lends itself to masculine cards.

This week the Jacksonbelle Embellishments Design Team is workin' a color challenge. The colors are green, blue, red and black. So I worked some Pink Paislee with a little bit of Jenni Bowlin in the middle and then embellished with some Prima ribbon and birdie with my fave Happy Birthday stamp from Inkadinkado.

Don't forget the BIG CONTEST going on this month - - you can read all the details HERE. And be sure to stop by the Jacksonbelle Embellishments blog to see what the other girls have created this week.

AND AND AND - - Jacksonbelle Embellishments is having a SALE right now. FALL (all caps) to get 25% off - - woooo, head on over for some goodies like the new Basic Grey or Jenni Bowlin paper packs!

Have a happy day!

Trick or Treat

It's Monday - blah.

Today I'm sharing a mini Halloween card that I made. I bought the Inverted Scalloped Squares Nesties a while back because I saw something Michelle Wooderson had made and now that I have them and used them, I can't say that I like them. Maybe I need to play with them more and try something else. I dunno, but I don't like the spikey. Spikey no go with roundy. And that's not good. I would say I'm not gonna make that mistake again, however, I just bought some more of those Borderabilities and Pendants and I can't seem to turn out something I love with them either.
Like I said before - blah.

Here's wishing you a great start to your week.

Some enchanted evening....

....that's the only part of that song I know. I'm humming a song that I don't know...odd. Anyway - - both of my cards today feature Enchanted Evening cardstock hence the name of today's post.

Today starts a new challenge over at the Studio G Collector's group on PCP. It's a sketch challenge this week and a sketch that I didn't particularly care for....but, um, I kinda made the sketch so I can't really complain - LOL I'm tired of making Halloween cards, so I went back a few series' with my Studio G on this card. I also used an Adirondack paint dabber on the background which I'm not sure if I like or hate.

This second card is a custom order. I feel so well-well-well saying that. So many people sell their cards and get orders for them - - I don't. No one orders my cards. And when I tried to sell them on ETSY, I only had 1 sale. But as I was showing off my CARDS magazine at the office the other day - the one with me in it *wink* - one of my reps asked if I'd make a card for his daughter's birthday next week. All I had to work with was that she's 15 and likes her school colors of New Leaf and Enchanted Evening - ha. So this is what I came up with. I am both excited and nervous to show it to him tomorrow.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

You make each day...

Happy Saturday, Girls!
So first off - - check this out. You know that lil' project I posted yesterday? The recycled/repurposed project? Well, it was a winner *shut up!* Really - winner winner chicken dinner! Pretty stoked about that - recognition is always a nice thing, isn't it?

Now this card on the other hand - I don't expect it to win any contests. It was going to be for publication but I couldn't get a good picture - that chipboard button's color is showing up funky - and I just am not feelin' the Scor-Pal. Some people do a great job and really cool things with the Scor-Pal. Sadly, I am not one of those people.

So today is the big Digiments release - pretty excited about that. Then we have one soccer game today (my son's game was last night), and then we're going to work on the disaster zones that are the kids' rooms, and then my daughter has a birthday party to go to this evening. Busy busy - I fully expect to spend lots of time making cards....tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in today!

Noel.

Hello and thanks for stopping in along the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

This month's Hop theme was to "go green" and recycle & reuse elements from your latest Papertrey Ink order. I was a little irritated this month because I ordered at midnight on release night as usual and my package took an extra 2 days more than usual to get to me. I got it the day before yesterday - gah!

So here's what I used from my package on my card:

- Tissue that wrapped my new Tree Trimming Trio stamp set is at the bottom of the card serving as snow. I put a bit of Glossy Accents on top of it and then some super fine glitter to give it some shimmer.

- Cut-out circles on the tree are from the paper that is the label band on the stamp set.

- Dove is punched out from the back of the thank-you note from the Papertrey Ink girls.

- NOEL is stamped on the paper from the side of the thank-you note.

- And last but not least, my center pane is on a piece of the cardboard box that my goodies were shipped in.

Thanks for coming - enjoy the Hop!

Repurposed packaging.

TGIF!!!
Oh man I love Fridays. Fridays are my favorite day of the week.

So today I've got a little *going green* project I put together for Miss Paige's challenge over at the CARDS blog. The challenge was to create a card using packaging from embellishments. However, the picture that was shown, I didn't think that was a card, so I thought the challenge was to create something with packaging. And then after I was done I realized it was to create a card. What a ding-dong, eh? Huhlow, the name of the site is CARDS. So to remedy my mistake, I went ahead and made a card to match my lil' project.

Packaging from little Prima flowers.
My cute lil' project made with the Prima packaging.
Making Memories packaging (you have seen this before here).
Card made to match my treat project with the Making Memories packaging.
Cute lil' set to give together.

2 Things:
DIGIMENTS!! - - sneak peeks continue today with the release tomorrow. Be sure and head on over and enter all the ways you can to win!
BLOG HOP!! - - be sure and come back here today at 3pm MST to see what I've created for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. I'm so excited to share it with you!

Happy Friday, Girls!!

Kid - you're my favorite.

Here's a card for a kid that I submitted for publication and was not picked up. Now now, don't cry for me Argentina, because I did have 2 more cards picked up for the February CARDS magazine. I'm still pretty excited about all this publication stuff. I'll be in CARDS October, November, January and February. Gotta get crackin' on my March submissions. But anyway!! - - so this card for a kid didn't make it. Funny thing is, another card for a kid that I made did make it and I think this one is way better - ha. I guess a lot of things go into what makes it in to a magazine, like the colors and the sentiments with regard to all the other submissions that are going in. I guess that's why I'm not a creative editor at a magazine because I don't know anything *giggles*

Anywho - this is more paper from the Prima Rock on Love paper pack and the chipboard letters are from the same line as well. I think I'm gonna have to give this card to someone else to use because if I gave this to one of my kids I think there'd be big trouble in little Boise.

And now something totally not card related.
GLEE
Is anyone else a total fan of this show? Oh my goodness it's fantastic! I saw the couple of pilot episodes in the spring and I was sooooo happy it was well-received and made it back for the fall line-up. It's about high school and music and football - - what's not to love?! Here's a little clip from last night's episode - so awesome.

Nice to *see* you today!

And more pumpkins!

I like this card. Not sure what it is, but I like it. I wanted sort of the homespun/country look and I think I got it. For the base of my card I used a die-cut Halloween card from Studio G. That made it easy from the get-go. Then I added some little kraft cut-out pumpkins (from that little treat bag I made last week with the kraft envelope). I dirtied up the pumpkins a little bit with some Vintage Touch Tea Dye from Papertrey Ink, added some rick-rack and a Studio G Halloween sentiment stamped with yes, again with the Metallic Halloween pigment ink from Studio G, embellished with some buttons and some stitching and I was done.

In other news: DIGIMENTS sneak peeks start today. Head on over and check out with the DT has to show you. Remember there is a new way to win prizes every day *wink*

Thank you.

This week at Jacksonbelle Embellishments we are playing with all the new stuff at the JBE store. I've chosen to play with my most fave vintage brand and show off some Jenni Bowlin papers. Jenni Bowlin has jumped on the bandwagon with the mini paper packs which are perfect for cardmakers; you can get a 4x4 pack of 24 sheets for only $5.50. I think about how many of the big sheets I buy at $1 each and think of the variety and the savings these little packs are bringing to me. LOVE!!

With the exception of the sentiment paper, the patterned papers are from Jenni Bowlin, the chipboard button too, and my sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

Don't forget the BIG CONTEST going on this month - - you can read all the details HERE. And be sure to stop by the Jacksonbelle Embellishments blog to see what the other girls have created this week.

~~~~~~~~~~
Don't forget about DIGIMENTS - - new release week started yesterday with a free Digiment to play with and there's another one today. Sneak peeks start tomorrow!
Again with the Halloween.
I'm not kiddin' - WHO are all these Halloween cards gonna go to?? LOL
Maybe Halloween can be the new holiday to catch up with a long-lost friend? I dunno. The one thing I have enjoyed about making all these Halloween cards is just getting creative, trying new things, new colors together, just having fun!
So I wanted to try something and it didn't come out quite like I wanted it, but in the end, I'm pleased. When I use an embossing folder, I usually run it through the Big Shot twice - just to be sure (I might be just a tad OCD - heh) - and so I ran a piece of Copper Metallic Glossy through twice and I cracked some of the copper finish. I should have done a coated paper like this just once. HOWEVER!! - - I sort of like the cracked look on this because it goes with the whole creepy, broken down haunted house look, don't you think? I've got a piece of Cosmic Orange on here to show off my sentiment which is stamped on to a piece of White Felt Grandee. My base is Epic Black Classic Columns but now that I think about it, I could have gone with just like a Black Licorice Pop Tones because I didn't really need the texture there - but hey, more is more is a good thing! And yes, I'm still workin' that Inkadinkado stamp!
Alright girls - - today starts release week over at Digiments. We've got somethin' special goin' on over there in addition to the usual new release fanfare.
Happy Monday!
Sunday, September 20, 2009
Friend - happiness is knowing you.
I love cards that are super simple to make but still have a lot of character to them. This card I would say is CAS (clean and simple) for me. Pretty lil' card showcasing the butterfly Nesties and I really love the scarlet and pinks and teals all together. Scarlet Jewel from Papertrey Ink and patterned papers from BasicGrey.
Happy happy Sunday, Girls!
Saturday, September 19, 2009
Feel better soon.
Anyone remember my cardinal rule of using buttons on cards? Buttons must be threaded! However, I have added to that - - buttons must be threaded unless they are a pain in the .... to thread. Plus I just thought this card would have way too much if my buttons were threaded because I already had buttons on the flowers and then I'd have the threading on the buttons on the flowers and it was just too much. So - - one of the rare occasions that you will see naked buttons from me!
In other news: DIGIMENTS is back!
We have videos on the site now giving helpful tips and information on how to use Digiments. Monday and Tuesday we'll have challenges *for a cause*. Wednesday-Friday we'll have sneak peeks. And a week from today the new releases go on sale!
Have a great Saturday!
Best of Luck.
This week's product feature over at Jacksonbelle Embellishments is Jenni Bowlin papers. As I've gotten in to the vintage thing, I have fallen in love with Jenni Bowlin products. She's also put out these new little paper packs which a lot of the paper manufacturers are putting out now and I think that's the bestest idea ever! I was a little challenged using these papers here though because they are sooo soft and I didn't know how to use them and have the card not look so blah. So I went simple with my design and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Oh - and my sentiment is from Inkadinkado.
Happy Friday, Girls!
You're Red Hot.
They didn't have one that said "I'm red hot" so I had to get the one that said "you're" - heh. I bought this paper months and months ago for a paper swap that never happened - - so now I have bunches of this paper. And then like a moron, I submitted this card for publication and come to find out, this paper manufacturer went out of business - nice. Oh well, it's different paper and I had fun making this card.
Thanks for stopping in today - have a good one!
When I grow up....
...I wanna be Nichole Heady. Seriously. She's like Martha Stewart for the 2000s. She comes up with the most clever and beautiful creations. And sometimes, there's even a thing or two that I can try - heh. So this is my version of a treat bag she had on her blog which was made with an envelope and a glassine bag. My sentiment is from Studio G and while the Halloween set is sold out, what's not sold out however is the smokin' hot Halloween metallic pigment ink that I am so loving these days.
Thanks for stopping in today!
For a fall birthday.
This week the Jacksonbelle Embellishments DT is making fall/Halloween cards. Since I did a Halloween card last week for the sketch challenge, I decided to make a card with the new fall papers from Pink Paislee. The name of this line is Amber Road - - isn't that pretty? I made this card for a fall birthday - my father-in-law's birthday is today actually, so this card went out to him. My punch is from Martha Stewart and my sentiment is from Inkadinkado. Speaking of Martha, have you seen all the new punches that are out? Be sure and head on over to the JBE store and check them all out - - pre-order if you really want something....the deer sold out last month!
Don't forget the BIG CONTEST going on this month - - you can read all the details HERE. And and and!!!! - - have you seen all the new Christmas Cuttlebug embossing folders? Check them out HERE and pre-order yours today!
Bo Bunny audition cards.
Late post today - - I had something posted earlier but took it down. It was 2 quick cards that I made for the kids for the first day of soccer and they just were not good at all. I mean I am brave and all, but really not a good representation of my work.
So I'm home for lunch and thought I'd share 2 cards I submitted for the Bo Bunny DT audition a couple months ago. I had decided a while back that I am not applying to be on any more DTs - - just too much work to get on them only to get rejected. I figure if someone wants me, they'll come knockin'. But the big manufacturers - like Bo Bunny, My Mind's Eye, Cosmo Cricket - those are a little different in that they'll probably never find me - ha. So I auditioned - - and was denied.
Papertrey release party tonight - wooooo!
Hope your week is starting off super fab!
October 31st.
Halloween seems so far away but it'll be here before you know it. Here I am again with another Halloween card. I can't help it - there are so many great Studio G Halloween stamps out this year, plus it seems that every major paper line has come out with some super patterned paper for Halloween, I just have to keep making cards for the "holiday".
Today I've got a little card that I've made for this week's Studio G challenge that I am hosting over at PCP. The challenge is to use torn paper on a card with your Studio G stamps. I'm using another cute lil' stamp from Series 34 - good luck finding it! Marti at Pez-A-Doodle had hundreds of sets and they all sold out. Lesson learned - - pre-order! I've also used that great orange metallic pigment ink from Studio G as well. You can get 9 little blocks of this ink for only $7.65 - deal!
(My sentiment looks kinda washed-out in this picture - - as always, you can click on the photo for a larger view and it looks a bit better.)
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Friendship.
Quick post today....it's opening day of soccer for both kids and then we have the BSU game tonight, so I've got lots to do!
The base of this card is Cadillac Cover in yellow from Paper Temptress. It's like glossy and almost plastic-y on the outside and then like a white cardstock on the inside. And is it ever bright! Pretty cool paper - - and went really well with the June Bug paper pack from BasicGrey.
Have a great Saturday!
Friday money-saving deal.
(second post for today - - scroll down for today’s card)
Restaurant.com
Ever heard of it? I was a skeptic at first, just sounded odd. But basically you go there, find restaurants in your area, and buy gift certificates for about half off. Typically you’ll get a $25 gift certificate for $10….but you have to spend $35 at the restaurant AND they automatically add 18% tip just so you know. However, if you know you’re going to be going out for a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary, why not get one of these and save a few bucks? Or if you’re going to have visitors in town and don’t want to cook every meal - - take them out for a meal and save yourself some money and time all at once!
Better still – they are having a sale today in honor of 09/09/09 - - for 99 hours only you can get 90% off. I just went there and spent $17.20 and got:
$25.00 off a $50 meal at the Melting Pot - - this is a big ticket one, thinking we’ll go there for my birthday next month. It only cost $1.
$25 off a $35 meal at a new little place called Tres Bonne Cuisine. Only $1.
(4) $25.00 off a $35 meal at River Rock Ale House. $1x4=$4.
(4) $25.00 off a $35 meal at The Office. $1x4=$4.
(4) $25.00 off a $35 meal at Chilangos Mexican Restaurant. $1x4=$4.
(4) $10 off a $20 meal at Carinos. 40-centsx4=$1.60
(4) $10 off a $20 meal at Baja Fresh. 40-centsx4=$1.60
Bon Appetit!
This card was a mistake.
Ever have one of those cards that was a mistake from the get-go? I bet you do....but are you brave enough to share it on your blog like I am? - haaaa. OK so see the interesting cut-out in the middle of the card? That is a Top Note cut gone wrong. But I saved the leftover piece because I save everything. I think it's kind of a cool look. Then I put those great BasicGrey die-cut stickers across the top and they're all sticky on the backside that is sticking up over the card so I'm thinking this is not a great idea. I have heard you can powder or scrub the sticky to take that effect away and I'm just not that thorough - ha. And do you notice the size of this card? It's sort of more slender than your normal A2 card? That's because my paper was crooked and then the flowers were crooked so instead of driving myself crazy I just left it alone and cut the excess off before I put my ribbon on. So - it's a thinner card....and it's a taller card...a taller stickier card - heh. But hey - it says thank you, so, hopefully the recipient will appreciate that I appreciate them!
Happy Happy Friday!
Indian Summer.
Over on the Jacksonbelle Embellishments blog we are showcasing BasicGrey papers this week. Every week we have a product focus and this week is one of my faves. BasicGrey has 4 new lines out: Eskimo Kisses, Eerie, Nook and Pantry, and Indian Summer (which I am using here today).
This card actually started with this interesting Maya Road Clearly Sheer ribbon - it's clear and rubbery like you can pull it like a rubberband. An oddly good find (I went to Maya Road direct on this buy). The pattern is different color leaves in orange and mustard and green and blue so I thought the papers from Indian Summer would go well. I was going for sort of a messy/windy look which is why I inked the edges with Papertrey's Vintage Touch Tea Dye and bent the sentiment pane a little bit.
Thanks for stopping in - I appreciate YOU!
Happy Harvest.
Look at that, just worked one day and the week is half over - love it!
Got a lil' harvest card to share with you today where I've used a new Studio G fall stamp and coordinating Studio G ink. Now I can't link you direct to the stamp set because it's sold out - like all gone. So when the new releases are available for pre-order, better get you one! Anywho...I love this ink - it's not the metallic pigment kind that I've talked about before - it's more of a powdery cocoa ink...really rich; still a pigment ink but just has a powder look and feel to it. It's quite nice.
I know some people turn up their nose at Studio G, and that's fine. But I think if you use it with good quality papers - like the Papertrey stuff I have here - you can still make a really nice card even though your stamp and ink were bought on the cheap.
Thanks for stopping in today!
...or Treat.
That's right - no trick, we're all about the treat around here!
So this week the Jacksonbelle Embellishments DT is doin' a lil' sketch challenge. You can head over to the Jacksonbelle blog to check out the sketch and play along - remember, there's a big contest going on this month.
I should have hidden this card from the kids because they are already fighting over which one is going to get it. I'm thinking I love this card so much I'm going to be making a few more. So my papers for this card are from Pink Paislee's Twilight line (the Halloween stuff). And my stamp is by Inkadinkado - the stamp of course said "trick or treat" but I thought considering I've got candy on my card, we're ain't havin' any tricks *wink*
Are you wondering about the lil' treat cup? That's from Stampin' Up - which I am not going to link to because they wouldn't want that since I am using Papertrey Ink paper, ink and ribbon on my card - haaaaa. But, they are only $2.95 for like 10 or 12 of them - - I bought 5 sets so you will be seeing more of these lil' cups here in the future.
Tuesday - back to work - ugh!
Have a good one.
Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16
This is my second post for today so scroll down so you don't miss my cute lil' Teacher card made with Paper Temptress paper!
I decided at the last minute to play along with Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16.
I thought these colors were very fallish and I wanted to do something not-so obvious and dark and seasonal, so I went a little brighter with this challenge using the Bloom Dots embossing folder, a cut-out flower from some paper in my scrap box, and the fun little Fiskars sunburst border punch.
Hope you're having a great evening!
For teacher.
Happy Labor Day, Girls!
Not sure it's really a holiday where you say "happy...." but hey, if you've got the day off like I do, I bet you're pretty dang happy *wink*
I've got a lil' teacher card to share with you today. Thought I should have some of these on hand now that school is back in session and both my kiddies are officially in school.
Featured here are Canyon Brown Columns, Green Crepe Ruche, and some pretty Antique Parchment in Natural from Paper Temptress. (I've also got a piece of Red Pepper Columns there as my backdrop.)
Thanks for stopping in today - have a super day!
Heartfelt Thanks.
Happy Sunday, Girls!
Got another BasicGrey card to share today featuring the June Bug paper pad. I also got the matching die-cut stickers. I don't get these too often because they are kinda spendy - like $2.99 a sheet or something - but if I can get them at a discount or as part of a promo of some sort, I do like to get them; I {heart} matching embellies.
I did get 3 new BasicGrey paper pads yesterday. There's a 4th one that isn't here yet though. But I have to tell you, if there's one Holiday paper to have this year, it's the Eskimo Kisses paper pad from BasicGrey. The little reindeer are just the ca-yoooo-test! After I get through showing you some more Halloween goodness this week, I'll share some goodies made with the new Christmas papers.
Laundry, church, laundry, cards, laundry, NASCAR - goooooooooooooo CASEY, cards and more laundry today.
Have a super day!
Sending a happy hello.
Happy Hello, Girls!
I'm heading out to Miss Lindsey's this morning to pick up the new BasicGrey paper packs but it dawned on me that I still have cards made with soon-to-be old BG paper packs that I haven't shared yet.
Here's a quick and easy card that I made using the Lemonade paper pack from BG. I love patterned paper that has a horizontal pattern of different designs on it and I like to find the lighter design/line to stamp on - makes for quick & easy when you don't have to cut and make a sentiment pane. I also used a matching die-cut sticker from BG and some rick-rack from A Million Memories; sentiment is by Papertrey Ink.
So sorry - I got busy with my *big announcement* and then the BSU game threw me off (have you been following all that in the news - the guy that punched the BSU player? Yes, we were at THAT game and we were right there when he started brawling with a fan! - - I can see myself in the footage they keep showing on the national news!) and I forgot to say that Miss Rebecca is the winner of the blog candy - - those lil' Studio G stamp sets. If you missed out, no worries, I'll have some more Studio G goodness to give away very soon *wink*
Lots to do this weekend, lots to get caught up on - truly will be laboring this Labor Day weekend.
Have a great weekend!
Friday, September 4, 2009
Trick or Treat.
Morning, Girls!
Quick, late post today - - we didn't get home from the BSU game until 12:30 last night. Good thing the kids don't have school today; wish I didn't have to work because I am going to be draggin' alllll day long.
Made a lil' non-traditional Halloween card this week featuring the new Cosmo Cricket Earth Love mini deck. Man am I happy CC got on board with the mini decks. And did you know Jenni Bowlin has too? Fun stuff!! My stamp is by Inkadinkado and that super crochet trim is from A Million Memories (need to order more because I love it!). I finally used the Vintage Touch Tea Dye Duo from Papertrey Ink to ink up the sides of my sentiment panel and give it a more antiqued look. I kinda like that effect so I've kept those lil' inks out on my craft table for the weekend.
Looking forward to the 3-day weekend....and a nap *yawn*
Have a good one!
Finally letting it out.
So I'm going to try and be as calm and as humble as possible as I write this post and tell you that I am sooooo stinkin' excited to finally say that I've been published! I've actually known for months now, but I'm an "I'll believe it when I see it" kind of person and I didn't want to say I was getting published and then have something go wrong and it not happen. But it has - - for I have seen it with my own eyes (which I still cannot believe).
I have (2) cards in the October issue of CARDS magazine. It was only my second time submitting - and they picked up 2 cards. Here's a lil' sneaky-peeky....
....next time you're at Michael's (or does Joann's have these magazines?) flip through there and you'll see me! It's a $20 magazine, or, you can buy the online version for only $4.99.
It gets a little better: I'll have (4) cards in the November issue and (2) cards in the January issue. Pretty exciting - - OK, very exciting. I'm at that stage in my life where I have a degree, I have a career, I have a beautiful family, what goals can/should I have? (Besides to lose like 500 pounds.) So it was nice to get in to submitting for publication - and it happening - I feel really really good; blessed I guess you could say.
I whipped up these cards last night - going with my mood - LOL Rock Star and U R SO COOL - - ha. No stamping. Just some quick and fun cards made with the Prima Rock on Love paper pack.
Have a super day today, Girls.
And thanks for stopping in.
My go-to layout + *blog candy*
Do you have a go-to layout? I think everyone does. Lately this has been my go-to layout. Piece of patterned paper across the top, another piece layered over it along the bottom, stitching, ribbon and we're done.
Today I've got cards featuring the new Studio G Series 35 Bohemian line. Now, I've got to be honest about this line - it doesn't totally work for me and I'll tell you why: lots of images. I love the little sayings, they stamp well, cute little cursive font - all fantastic things. But - LOTS of images in this series and if you know me, yeah, not so much (I don't color).
That being said - who's up for a little blog candy? Click THIS LINK to be taken to the large image of all the little sets that are in this series. There are 16 sets in all and from best I can tell, there are 9 of them that are only images - - I cannot use them, so if you would like them and WILL USE THEM! - when you post a comment, start it with "BLOG CANDY" and then your comment telling me how I'm the greatest or whatever - ROTFL. (All kidding aside - I love reading your comments, y'all are just the sweetest!)
Have I raved about the new Studio G pigment inks yet? I think I have, but again - these inks are OFF THE CHAIN hot! They are sparkly and creamy and just really really good inks - and they are cheap too! My patterned paper is the cheap-but-cute DCWV or whatever that's called, the paper packs that you can get at Joann's - - and and and look!! - - NEW NESTIES!! I got all the new Nesties - - these happen to be Labels 6 and I {heart} them.
Blog Candy fine print: winner announced on my post tomorrow; you have a couple of days to contact me - ain't gonna be chasin' you around tryin' to give ya' free stuff!
Have a great Wednesday - blog atcha soon!
A challenging Jacksonbelle challenge + *contest*
Oh my....this challenge truly was a challenge for me.
This week the Jacksonbelle Embellishments DT is making one layer cards. ONE layer. Are you kidding me? My first thought was that one layer meant like one layer of this and one layer of that and one layer of something else - LOL But no, apparently one layer means one layer of cardstock and no other paper on top of it - gah!
So what I did was ran my cardstock through the Big Shot with the new Stars Cuttlebug embossing folder and then dotted each one with a lil' bling. I put some score lines at the bottom (which you can hardly see but better if you click on the photo to enlarge it) leaving room for my cute lil' birthday ticket stamp from Inkadinkado. I made that star by cutting out a piece of crystal clear cardstock and then topping with some of those little beads - think they're called microbeads or something? - and then topped again with some fine glitter. I'm actually pleased with the way it turned out, but man was it hard gettin' there; kinda nice to tip-toe out of your comfort zone once in a while though *wink*
And now for the contest: Starting with today's challenge, play along and you can win.
The grand prize winner will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the store, 2nd place, $30.00 to the store and 3rd place $15.00 to the store. And when I say store, I don't mean Albertsons, I'm talking Jacksonbelle Embellishments where even the $15 will go a LONG way!
If you decide to play each week, you will need to e-mail your card to jacksonbelle.embellishments@gmail.com. Make sure to link your card there over on the Jacksonbelle blog so we can all see the cards plus your name will be entered into a random drawing and that person will also win a goodie bag!
The rules: you have to use Inkadinkado (like I did today *wink*), Stampavie, Prima or Basic Grey stamps, as well as use one of our Tuesday challenges that are posted on the blog (or here) every Tuesday. You can enter as many times as you like!
Following the last Tuesday challenge (Sept. 28th), you will have until Thursday, Oct. 1st at midnight EST to get your cards to us! After that, the design team will need a few days to decide on the winners!! Make sure to check out the design team’s blogs and store blog each week for LOTS of inspiration using the weekly challenges!
So start with this week's challenge - - and go make a one layer card!
Be sure and head over to the Jacksonbelle Embellishments blog to see what the rest of the girls are up to....and for all the fine print on the contest in case I missed something like you have to make your card while blindfolded or you can't use cardstock or something like that *giggles*
Have a great day!
