Happy Friday, Girls!
Alright - I've moved on from the umbrellas and am now having a love affair with butterflies. Now personally, I'm not a butterfly kinda girl, however, I know a lot of girls are, a lot of my friends are, and it's just a good catch-all theme for chicks, right? I bought the Spellbinders Shapeabilities - Butterflies, and to be honest, I don't know how to work with these little dies (they're different than the Nestibilities). So I did about the only thing I knew how to do - and that was to just cut out the butterflies. Don't you love this card? I do! Well, I like about 90% of it - can you guess what I don't like? The vellum. I like what I've done here, but you can see the glue runner behind the vellum - how do you fix that? Well, I'm about ready to find out, I have an idea - and am in the middle of recreating this card right this second. Look forward to seeing a new and improved version of this card tomorrow ;)
However, I think to give this card to a friend who is not in to cardmaking and not reading this blog, they might like it and be appreciative and be none the wiser, right? - - at least that's what I'm telling myself!

FYI: I have some glue dots I got at Archivers that are for vellum

Ya know what? I wouldn't have noticed the glue behind te vellum, if you hadn't said anything. It looks sort of brown, so it just looks like it goes with the patterned paper...LOL!
I think the card is BEAUTIFUL and no matter who receives it is going to be one lucky duck...:)

I'm "one of those girls" who does like butterflies ;) and I think that your card is beautiful!
One thing I sometimes do with vellum, is run it through my sticker maker. Now, I will say, that it makes the whole thing a touch darker, so it's not totally clear. But it sticks great, and then you can't tell where the adhesive went. That said, I don't think most people would have noticed the adhesive if you wouldn't have told us about it! Enjoy your day!!!

Aside from the glue, this card is just gorgeous. I love the butterfly on the butterfly paper.
