More adventures in couponing.

Hello - and happy Tuesday!

I'm back with another coupon adventure. Y'all know how I love me a good deal. So here's my latest & greatest. I usually average an 82% savings - anything over 75% to me is a good trip. This one however was an 86%er - that's some good stuff right there.

What we have here is:

(18) boxes of Lean Cuisine pizzas, paninis and calzones
(6) boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (only 5 pictured - my daughter loves this kind and couldn't wait)
(6) boxes of Trix
(4) packages of Carefree panty liners
(4) cans of Lindsay olives
(3) jars of Nalley's relish
(3) bottles of Best Foods mayonnaise
(2) packages of Rhodes Rolls
(2) bags of Ghiradelli Twilight dark chocolate
(2) bottles of Teriyaki sauce
(2) bottles of Ponzu sauce (never had it, but it was free, so we'll try it out)
(2) bottles of Tabasco sauce
(2) jars of Vlasic relish
(2) boxes of Crystal Light

Actual retail price: $220.61
I paid $31.29
That's an 86% savings - yippeee!

Just some notes on how I do this. I clip coupons from the newspaper, and I print coupons online from Coupons.com and also from SmartSource through my local Albertsons website. Even if I don't use the item, but I would if I got a smokin' hot deal on it, I print it out/clip the coupon. We get double coupons once, sometimes twice a month and I just hang on and wait for the perfect storm to hit and get the deals.

The teriyaki and ponzu sauce was a fun one. The teriyaki sauce was priced at $1.99 each, I had $1 off coupons that I doubled making them free. I also had coupons for free ponzu sauce when you buy the teriyaki sauce. So, all 4 of those were totally free. The panty liners also were totally free so when things like this come up (totally free and won't get used here in this household) I get them anyway and donate them to the church, or the women's shelter. Some couponing people are militant and say that you shouldn't do that, that you should leave those things for other people who will use them. And to that I say: bite me. If I want to pick up a lil' sum sum to donate, I'm gonna, so there!

Today is the last day of this week's Albertson's doublers....guess where I'll be at lunchtime today? *smiles*

You are the queen of couponing! Amazing! Um, can you do my shopping while you're at it?

I truly admire you, I really really do! I need to get into couponing and soon.

And I agree with you, these people can bite me too. It's not like you're re-sell it for profit [which is fine too IMO], but you're donating it to people who need it and do not have an opportunity or time to get coupons. Kudos to you!
