Made a couple of cards yesterday, this one before I went to work in the morning. I think now I am finally done with this DP for the year. While I like the card, I think I - and perhaps you - are tired of this same DP! This was for Amber's Viva la Verve challenge.

And this card here was a complete pain in the butt. I wanted to do something different for me - so I stamped the flowers and then cut them out and then put some Glossy Accents on them. I did that, but it was all so tedious and really challenged my patience and precision. I actually think I like it - a little not busy and not overdone like I normally do, but change is good, right?
POLL: Got a question for y'all. So you know how I shop year-round so that I am done with birthdays and Christmas gifts like a year early, right? Well here's the thing - I have a friend who I haven't seen in years, but we e-mail to catch up maybe twice a year...and we exchange birthday cards sometimes...but Christmas presents every year. This past Christmas I didn't get anything from her - not even a thank-you for what I sent (whole different subject - LOL). So I'm wondering if I should not send something for Christmas 2009 because that means she wants it to stop. Or do I still send because I like to, but would that force her hand to continue something she didn't want to do? I've paired down my Christmas and birthday lists now to people who actually care about me and my family. Not saying she doesn't, but, I don't want to be spending on people who you know, aren't appreciative. Responses appreciated - a little dilemma.
Thanks for stopping by, Girls!
Hope you have a wonderful Saturday.

Hello there! :)
Have fun w/ all your outings today.
As for the poll, I think I would let 09 go by w/o sending her Christmas gifts. Just seems maybe she's not into it anymore.
Hope you have fun running your errands. The cards are cute and I would say you are ready for Valentines day now.
As for your question. It all depends. If your doing it out of the goodness of your own heart and it makes you feel happy when you do it then continue to do it. Although an acknowledgement on her part would of been nice. Then again with the economy in the toilet so to speak maybe her budget was tough. I would ask and make sure she even got it okay.
Speaking of which your thank-you card is still sitting on my counter (has been the last 2 weeks) I keep forgettig to get the boys to write in it so that I can mail it. Will do that next lol!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Love the Warm Hello card!
Cut her off! It saves you stress and money. Obviously, you two don't have the level of friendship at which gifts are exchanged.
Gorgeous cards, Michelle! I'm about to work on Amber's sketch : ) So I take it you found the Glossy Accents! Your card is beautiful! I just love the cut out flowers and the simplicity. Thank you so much for helping me with my blog! I stayed up until 2am working on the header! It's pretty simple, but I like it! As for the poll, I say skip 2009 unless you just love sending gifts ; ) A handmade card is always a wonderful gesture I think!
So you found glossy accents? I won't send the Crystal Effects then, that bottle will last forever! lol
Cute cards! As for the friend, I'd say ASK HER what she wants to do next year. You don't have to mention the lack of a thank you/gift from her, just pose it as "The economy's bad right now...maybe we should just stick to cards..." type of thing.
