It's a timing thing. It was 82 degrees and beautiful yesterday and now today we are looking at thunderstorms - welcome to spring in Boise.
I simply could not get home from work fast enough yesterday as I knew my monthly order from Papertrey Ink was going to be there waiting for me. I was really excited this month as Dawn McVey {who is in my top 3 of cardmaking inspirations} was releasing her second stamp set: Scattered Showers. I have to be honest, her first one - Damask Designs - just was not for me. I kept talking myself in and out of it and finally decided that I did not have the skillset to make backgrounds and I didn't want to buy it just to buy it. However, Scattered Showers I knew I would use from the word go. The fun sentiments, their great font, and the variety of umbrella toppers just made me so happy!
So voila! - here it is, my first card using Scattered Showers....the first of many most likely. Heck, you might see a different umbrella on here for the next 6 days while I try out each of the 7 *giggles*

umm...I need to go buy this now - it is great - ALMOST looks colored but I know better than that! :) But really - great job on this card - the red is bright!

My order is due today and I am SOOOO excited. No new stamps, just lots of supplies. Anyway on to your card. Love the colors you used. I loved this set, too, but wasn't sure how much I'd actually use it. I kind of wanted to wait and see what kind of cards I saw floating around. Love this one!!!
