Embellishments.

(warning: image-heavy post)

I am soooo excited to share this post with you today. I have been giddy for weeks knowing that I was going to take these pictures, write this, and share with you all.

About a month ago I was introduced to Real Deals. They tell me they have 65 stores across the US but I have never heard of them until recently. Don't let the name fool you - this is not some cheap-o, run-of-the-mill bargain place. This is a home decor store with style, with flair, with fancy baubles and vintage cupboards. It is hands down the most fascinating and fun store I have been to in my 14 years of living here in Boise.

Iron dress forms - are you kidding me? How cool are these?? For a girl's bedroom or in your own frilly bathroom. You can hang jewelry or scarves on it, drape a pretty cardigan around it, clip some clothes pins on it and use it as a vintage bulletin board of sorts.

Primitive decanters and vases - you can buy just the holder, or you can buy just the filling, or you can buy both together.

And look at the amazing way they set up vignettes. Clocks, vases, greenery - so much detail in every nook and cranny of this store.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! There's still a fair amount of fall stuff around, I can only imagine what this place is going to look like the week after Thanksgiving (don't worry, you'll see it too *wink*). Christmas trees, decorating ideas, and all the shiny, sparkly-encrusted baubles you need to create your own holiday display.

I cannot stop looking at these pictures. They just make me soooo happy! So the name is Real Deals. And let me tell you - this place is affordable. I made a few purchases (how could I not?!) and will be sharing more of those with you soon. Special thanks to Dori and Susan (who remembered my name after only one visit!) for letting me take pictures to share with you all. If you're ever in the Boise area, you have got go visit the girls at Real Deals.

Here's a little Christmas taggie I made featuring American Crafts' Merrymint papers, some Papertrey Ink ribbons and buttons, and some little berries I picked up at Real Deals. These tags are soooo fun to make - so much so that I've put on my list for next year that a set of these would be a nice gift for fall birthdays wherein they can turn around and use these on their Christmas gift packaging.
It's all about the embellishments, girls!

Have a sparkly day!

Guess there's somewhere new for you to take me on my next trip to Boise. Looks like you could just get lost for hours in that store.

Love this store! For those of you shopping in Kalispell, MT, the store is only open on Thursday and Saturday :( Don't you want to just start at your back door and decorate clockwise with everything from the Real Deals store? Thanks for letting people know.
