Merrymint thanks.

So I took a little break from making Christmas cards and stopped to make some Christmas thank-you cards. We've got friends and family in other states who will send gifts our way so it's important that they get a handwritten thank-you as we won't get to exchange gifts in person. Also there's this guy at work whose wife always sends just for me and no one else at the office this huge platter of baked goods for Christmas, so I'll be sending her a thank-you as well.

Is this not the perfect paper for thanking for baked goods? This is American Crafts' Merrymint line. Ohhhh the ribbon candy soooo reminds me of my Yaya's house at Christmastime. She always had one of those crystal lidded candy dishes with the ribbon candy mix in it. I didn't even really like that candy, but it was sooo pretty to look at and I would give anything to go back to being 7 year's old sitting on my Yaya's couch looking at all the pretty colors of Christmas candy in the pretty dish on her glass coffee table.

There is so much character to this paper that it doesn't really need anything done to it, but because I am a more-is-more kinda girl, I had to bling-up the lil' brown gingerbread people and top the cupcakes too.

And by the way - did I miss a memo? Who knew that American Crafts had stamps? I had no idea. The paper, yes. The ribbon, check. But the stamps? - clueless. So glad I found them, I bought 2 sets. Both stamps you see here are from the Large Thanks set - - hello, it's only $9.99 and they are clear stamps: heaven!

I think this card is my most fave....and I'll tell you why: mixing cream and white is not easy to do (at least for me). But I had this fantastic shimmery Autumn Hay paper which I thought complemented both the gold in the striped paper and also the dark beige in the Candy Shoppe paper piece.

Ahhh.....nostalgia.

Oh, I LOVED that ribbon candy. Yummo! And I think that paper is totally perfect for the occasion. I love that you added a little something to the gingerbread man and to the cupcakes. It's just so you!

That paper is adorable, and making me hungry, by the way. :D
And, of course you added bling! I wouldn't expect anything less.
