A simply sweet Christmas gift.

- second post for today, scroll down for my JBE tag -

Today I'm sharing with you a quick, easy and more importantly - yummy - Christmas gift.

Nonnis' Biscotti. Do you know it? Do you love it? Oh man, I have a serious soft spot in my heart - and my tummy - for Nonni's Biscotti. I'm not big on coffee, but I do love me a nice big mug of warm milk; some people think that's gross, but I think milk tastes sweeter when it's heated. So you've got the mug of your favorite warm beverage and you dip in a piece of biscotti and let it soak up the liquid and you pop it in your mouth - heaven.

For my little project today I used Cioccolati (who doesn't love chocolate?)....

...and Limone (in case there is someone out there who doesn't love chocolate - LOL). I also like saying "limone". I'm Mexican so we say it "li-mon", but I think the Italians would say it "li-mon-ay" - say it however you like, it's still good stuff.

And then I got this cocoa from Cost Plus - but in the 99-cent packets.

And then I remembered that I had a set of mugs out in the garage. If you're like us, we have mugs galore. My husband uses his Oakland Raiders mugs (gag), I use a mommy one that the kids gave me a while back (sweet), and then we have others that have been given to us or that we have kept because we like the size or the handles on them or whatever. So, when we buy new dishes, we never bring out the mugs - ever. They just sit in the garage. Well this dish set is long gone, but the mugs are still sitting out way up on the rafters in the garage. I thought the grape print on these would be perfect to package a little biscotti goodness in!

I packaged (2) pieces of biscotti (they come individually wrapped which is so smart) and a pack of cocoa in some cellophane, tied a pretty Ripe Avocado bow around it, stamped the perfect sentiment, and then embellished with a vintage button, some leaves, and a pretty spoon that I picked up at Cost Plus.

And there's my nice, sweet, inexpensive gift for the daycare teachers. I say inexpensive because the biscotti comes 8 to a box for $2.99 making 2 of them 75-cents total, and then the cocoa was 99-cents but I got a bunch of them with a 40%-off coupon so that was only 60-cents, and everything else I had on hand at the house. I'm gonna try and find some red mugs on clearance after Christmas and do the same for school teachers and church teachers for Valentine's Day!

Have a sweet one!

Clever gift! Where do you get the biscotti? My mom tried some recently and loved it - but I haven't gotten any yet. Where did you get this?

I saw these the other day, and was rushing so didn't comment then. I don't like the sound of warm milk (tee hee) but with a little biscotti, it might be alright! Great gifts, I've loved seeing what you have made this holiday season!
