Happy Tuesday, Girls!
Today I'm sharing a last-minute sweet treat that would be great for a teacher, office staff at work or school, or just to put out on your kitchen counter for friends and family to enjoy. I happen to be sending this treat to daycare - - any occasion to appreciate (kiss up) to the people who are entrusted with caring for my babies, I'm totally gonna capitalize on.
Now because this is last-minute, there is no time to bake. And, sometimes people are weird about baked goods - I know I am, I'm particular about who I will accept baked goods from - LOL So I picked up a box of Nonni's Cioccolati biscotti at my grocery store - this will cost you $3-$4 a box depending on which store.
I picked up a Valentine basket at our new Hobby Lobby and had no particular purpose in mind for it. It was 40% off making it $4.80 and that was just too cute to pass up.
Mmmm....look at that....individually wrapped biscotti.....
I had some scraps left over from the Valentine's that I made for my daughter's class. Fortunately, these were already the perfect width, just needed to cut down the length.
I put a Glue Dot in the middle of the backside of the paper to secure it so that it wouldn't move around on me and also so that it stayed in place once the piece was complete. Thin Glue Dots are like the bestest invention ever - and the perfect size for so many projects.
Aren't these cute? I could throw them in the basket like this, but I wanted a little more prettiness when each one was taken out of the basket to be enjoyed.
I tied some ribbon around each, and then punched a cute lil' heart in coordinating but different patterned paper for each biscotti.
And here's my completed biscotti.
I wanted to jazz up the basket a little bit so I stamped a little Verve sentiment, added some Hero Arts bling and a button.
And here we are - all done and ready to go!
Remember - it's not about how much time or effort you put in to something, or how expensive and fancy it is: it really is the thought that counts.
Thanks for stopping by today!
