Happy new week, Girls!
Today I'm sharing a simple card that I mass-produced as an invitation for my son's First Communion. I hate mass-producing, it's really no fun after the first one, but now that I really can't deny that I am a cardmaker, I just can't see buying a pack of invitations for anything. So I had my son choose the color that he wanted - Ocean Tides from Papertrey Ink, perfect choice - and I coordinated with it some older Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers. Not having a First Communion stamp wasn't such a big deal to me, I thought this sweet sentiment from Verve was just right and then on the inside I printed out the invite specifics on a coordinating piece of marble paper that I picked up at Paper Temptress. It's a pretty simple card for me, but I needed it to fit in an envelope and not cost me a fortune in postage *wink*
Cheers to a new week!

hehe...makes me giggle...you can't deny being a card maker! It makes me smile to see you have gotten crafty!!!! I knew you'd love this hobby! It's an obsession now, isn't it? ;)
I think Daniel did a fab job picking out the colours! That new Ocean Tides is so pretty! Great simple layout and that sentiment is perfect!
Hope you have a great work week!
Oh I'm with you. I totally can't stand mass producing, but I can pay someone else either. Ha ha! Super cute card as always!
I'm not a mass producer either - I find it boring to do it that way. I'm loving the Ocean Tides and agree with Dawn, Daniel did great picking out the colors!
This is beautiful! I love the layers, and the border you added in there. Perfect sentiment for the occasion too :) Yep, mass producing sucks. Takes the joy out of card making don't you think.
I can't deny that having a friend who is a cardmaker makes it hard to go to Hallmark...but what about the cards to give to the friend who makes cards?! :D
The sentiment is perfect and the invitations are beautiful.
Love the papers you put together for this great invitation! Your son has a good sense of color :o)
What a great mix of colors and patterns! Love it! And I'm totally with you about mass card production, every Christmas card I make is different because I just can't do it. :-)
I like that it is a simple card, but it's still very "you!" You got some fabulous colors on there, some fun patterned paper. See, simple doesn't have to be boring ;)
I totally run the other way when someone suggests mass production. Seriously, I usually get bored half way through 1 card, let alone making more! LOL This is a gorgeous design though. Fabulous card!
Love love love this card! The border and layers are gorgeous...and the scripture is one of my favs! ;-)
