Party time.

Happy Day, Girls!

I'm back today with some more fun cards made with Echo Park papers. I bought some of that Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger to try on the edges of my cards - see the pink edges on the first card below - and I can't say that I'm pleased what what I have done with it thus far. But I did pick up some acrylic paint recently and I'm gonna give that a go pretty quick here.

It's in the Bag!

Happy Halfway-There Day, Girls!

I've got a little shoppe update for you today - some new product in stock....and a couple of fabulous bag samples too.

Check out what my super sweet friend Danni made with my kraft window coffee bag. I love how she covered the window for giftgiving to kidlets who love to peek at Christmastime.

DanniKraftWindowBag

And then she used the red paper lunch bag for a baby gift. All I was thinking for this bag was Christmas and Valentine's. A baby gift? For real? She's so good!

New products in the shoppe.

A new size glassine bag. I'm calling this one tall & thin because it's more narrow than my other bags.

And I've added twine!
Jute twine, and white cotton twine. Perfect for tying off bags, packages, making taggies and even using on cards. More samples to come on this.

Fun stuff! - - have a great one!

Reach for the sky.

I'm not a fan of Tuesday.
It's not the start of an exciting new week, it's not halfway-there day, it's not Friday Eve or TGIF, it's just Tuesday - blah.

Anywhoooo...pretend to be surprised that I've got some more fun and bright Echo Park Paper cards with their super fun stickers. Oh that hot air ballon sticker just tickles me. And, I've found a great ink match to Hawaiian Shores paper and that is Aquamarine ColorBox Chalk Ink - love this stuff...even if it does stain my stamps.

www.csnstores.com

Hey Hey Hey

My friends at CSN Stores have asked me to do another review of one of their products from one of their stores - remember, they have over 200 online stores where you can find everything - and I mean everything! - like wardrobes - and really cool things like Boise State stuff! Yeah, those hard to find things in your market can be found through CSN's family of stores. I've gotten some really cool things from them in the past. You'll have to check them out!

I really do enjoy working with CSN and I'm so excited that I get to do another review for them.

So stay tuned for a CSN review in the future, who knows what I will choose this time!

Happy birthday.

Happy Monday, Girls!

Got some bright and fun cards to share with you today featuring Echo Park papers and stickers. I think I already mentioned how much I love using stickers on cards. When I first got in to cardmaking I was completely adverse to using stickers on cards because it felt less creative or something. But then I thought no, I'm all about quick and easy and convenient, and stickers are a-OK with me!

Papercrafted giftyness.

Sunday Funday.

I really love the fall - soccer season for my daughter, NFL football (and even though our teams aren't the best, we pull for them week in and week out), the NASCAR Chase for the championship starts (again, even though my driver ain't all that, I am not a fairweather fan), and lest we forget Boise State football. Great game last night...late night for the 4 of us...but well worth it. Love the fall.

Today I've got some giftyness (I make up the cutest words, don't you think?) made with more fun Echo Park papers and stickers.

Loving you is a walk in the park.

Yay - the weekend is here!

And this weekend is gonna be a good one. Starting with today being sooo verrrry bussssy. We're leaving the house at 5:30am to volunteer for Bountiful Baskets - if we help hand out the produce we score free stuff *wink* And then we're going somewhere after that which I'll tell you about another time. And then we have to get to soccer early for team pictures...and then it's game time. And after that game it's time. The big time. It's the first Boise State home game!! ESPN GameDay is here, and yeah - we'll be there...woooo! If you happen to be in to college football and catch the game tonight on ESPN, we're in the south endzone which is the orange one (you have to wear certain colors in certain sections) and we're the fat couple in the front row with the 2 rambunctious lil' redheads. Oh yeah - a great day for sure!

And hey look - I'm back to cards! Since it's been a while, I thought I'd overload you on cards for the next few days. Fun with Echo Park papers and stickers. I love stickers. I'm such a lazy cardmaker, and stickers enable me to be such a lop that way.

Some random favorites.

Mindy Gledhill performed at Spark.
I {heart} her music so - where has she been all my life?

Tim Holtz's Tiny Attacher. At Spark, everyone had this little stapler. I went and bought it at my LSS as soon as I got home. It's definitely a must-tool.

TinyAttacher

My Mind's Eye's Lost & Found collection. Saw this at Scrappin' Girlfriends in Twin Falls on the way home (from Spark - and yes, I'm almost done talking about it). Bought every last piece of it. MME knocked it out of the park with this line.

Divine Twine. Baker's twine is the in thing in cardmaking these days. I had a little bit that I had purchased I think on ETSY. I finally decided that I wanted good, quality baker's twine, and I wanted a bunch of colors. So I bit the bullet and bought the entire Divine Twine collection - pictured below - for $100. Don't tell my husband though. He'd freak if he knew that I spent an entire Benjamin on "string" *giggles*

Parenthood. Tuesdays on NBC. Love this show. I always shed a tear - whether it's because something is sad, or happy, or just heartwarming.
The best show around in a long time.

Spark...indulgences.

Hey Girls!

Oh have I got some yummy things to share with you today. Some edible, some not, but still some fantastic pieces of the Spark experience.

The center of the dinner buffet.

Strawberries

Cupcakes

My group was the last one called to get in line for dinner. So I sent a skinny little girl named Camille up to steal me one of these humongo cuppies before they were gone.

The Dear Lizzie boutique
- - not related to Dear Lizzy paper by American Crafts or Elizabeth Kartchner - - was on site with their amazing vintagey jewels and sparkly bobbles. I bought a couple of necklaces and a bracelet and a box of vintage trinkets to play with in my crafts. Totally stopping at their store the next time I go to Utah.

Spark...tablescapes.

Happy Halfway-There Day, Girls!

Up for you today I've got some of the super fun tablescapes from Spark. I would say there were about 20 tables all together...maybe 25...and each of them had their own fun, eclectic centerpiece. I went to the thrift store when I did the kids' Alice in Wonderland party this past summer...that's totally the place to shop when putting together fun and different party themes like this. Sandra Lee ain't got nuthin' on my Spark sisters!

Spark...second impression.

Happy Day, Dolls!

I'm back today with a few more pictures from Spark <----this is hyperlinked in case you haven't noticed *wink*. I'm still trying to get you excited to come with me next year. Details: it's in Utah...and the price tag was $350...tickets go on sale in May. Jot all that down and start planning!

This is one of 2 swag bags we received. Between extra product from each class, and then complete paper collections and tools and even a Cricut cartridge, you totally make your money back there alone.

All the fun decor in the main hall where we gathered to eat and gab and take breaks. I'm totally using some of the decor ideas for parties I do for the kiddies.

Spark...first impression.

Happy Monday, Girls!

Instead of posting cards this week, I'll be recapping the Spark experience for you all. If you aren't interested, that's cool, I'll see you next week - heh. If you are interested, I've got photos of the venue, the decor, and lots of other yummy things. I don't get commission off recruiting people to come next year or anything, but you'll probably hear me say about 100 times that you need to come with next year! It's a must event for sure.

This was the outside of Noah's.

These big ol' letters look way cool all lit up at night time.

Adventures in couponing.

Happy Sunday, Friends!

So check this out: Albertsons did away with doublers. Seriously. Seriously sad. Apparently Walmart was accepting the Albertsons double coupons and letting you use more than the amount that Albertsons would and bunches of people took advantage of that. Thereby taking advantage of Albertsons. Which, I don't agree with at all. So what Albertsons has done is a "coupon round-up" wherein they will round any denomination of coupon up to $1. Now, this is good for your coupons that are less than 50-cents, but the $1 ones you kinda lose out on because before you would get $2 and now it's just the $1. All that being said, I still had a pretty good score under the new program.
Let's check it out.

08_29_10

By the numbers:
(10) bags of Goldfish crackers
(6) packs of Ball Park franks
(6) cans of Rotel tomatoes & chiles
(6) Mentos gums
(4) boxes of Ronzoni linguine
(4) mini tubs of Chips Ahoy cookies
(4) Yoplait Greek yogurts
(4) Starkist tuna pouches
(4) cartons of Minute Maid lemonade
(3) big bags of Doritos
(2) 2-liters of Pepsi Max
(my new favorite diet cola as it tastes less-diet than any other cola I've tried)

Actual retail price: $121.87.
I paid $12.24.
That's a 90% savings!
Not too shabby without the doublers after all!

The good stuff: the Goldfish were on sale for $1 and I had 75-cent off coupons that were rounded-up to $1 - 10 bags...free. The Ball Park franks were $1.99 and I had $2 off coupons - 6 packages...free; and the Doritos were free for every 2 packs of the hot dogs you bought. The Mentos were on sale for $1 and I had 55-cent off coupons that were rounded-up to $1 making those free as well. The Ronzoni pasta was on sale for $1.09 and I had 55-cent off coupons rounded-up to $1...free again. The Yoplait yogurts were on sale for $1 and I had 30-cent off coupons that were rounded-up to $1...um...free too - LOL

Have a great Sunday!
