Are you ready for Easter?

I'm not - but I'm gettin' there.
Miss Jaycie said something the other day which reminded me that I still have things to do - like, uh, decide what goodies I'm going to make for the kiddies to take to their church classes for Easter - yeah, not make them, I still need to decide what and then make them! And, I think I'm short on Easter cards so I've got to make a few more of those.

I made these for D's church class teachers. They love my cards, and they love that I always send goodies for every holiday - - it's nice to be appreciated. I don't do things because I necessarily want people to say anything to me, but, it's really nice when they do.

One of D's teachers sent me a nice card as thanks for the Valentine cards I made them and sent with their gifts (clearance Christmas chocolate - it was red and no sign of Christmas - shhhh), and then a couple of weeks ago one of the teachers' father died so D sent her THIS CARD (I told you there would be the perfect occasion for it) and she sent a note to thank for that as well. It's so funny the things that kids say...D wrote the card all by himself - he's in 1st grade now so I don't tell him what to say or how to spell it - he wrote "I'm sorry your dad died, Miss Leticia." It's so matter of fact, but sweet coming from a kid, no? Anyhooooo - these are the Easter cards I made for the (4) of them.
Simple and clean....was thinking for once I'd get cards flat enough to fit into an envelope but now as I write this I see that I have the flowers hanging off the side - LOL My cards rarely fit in to a regular envelope - *ack* So, I guess they'll be tucked into some kind of little Easter goodness for them.

What great cards. I love how simple they are, but SO cute! The swiss dots embossing and then the dots on the ribbon. Great combo!

Adorable cards with a touch of churchiness. Way to go!
I love when kids write (say) things for themselves. Too bad we usually lose that honesty and openness when we get older. Kids are such straight shooters.
