More Easter goodness.

TGIF, Girls!

Slowly but surely I am getting my Easter goodies done. Between vacation, stuff going on at the office, church classes for the kiddies, soccer practices starting for the kiddies, and my design team commitments, I haven't been participating much in the Verve stuff. And I love me some Verve stamps; Miss Julee is one talented lady. But I have had April 4th in my head as the last day to get an entry in to the Verve Project Parade - so here I am just in time!

I went with a card and candy set - I'm a working mom so a lot of my things are simple. I don't have the time - or the patience - to do something that takes hours or lots of focus because there are lots of interruptions around here with a 4 and a 6-year old running around. So I do things that can be done in a short amount of time and I take advantage of pockets of time. For example, I cut the paper for my card before Survivor started last night (so happy Taj wasn't booted!!) and then I would run to my craft table and work on the distressing during the commercials.

I love new stuff! Some of you know that I ordered some markers from SU! and then decided that coloring is not for me. So I sold them to a lady on SCS for a gift certificate and I bought bunches of stuff that I will use! This DP is part of what I bought - it came in the mail yesterday. And those gold leaves I got at Guadalupe's Fun Rubber Stamps in Santa Fe.

Do you notice the copper thingy that my card is on? So Dawn McVey uses an antique flower frog to photograph her cards on and I think it's just the coolest thing in the world. {If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can read all about flower frogs on Dawn's post HERE.} I went to the antique shop earlier this week and found one - just like hers - and then got to thinking: do I want to be a copycat? I'm not sure. I have seen Dawn use it...and then I have seen one other person using one. I bought it anyway. But then I came across a different kind of flower frog - this copper one. I like it because it's cool and different, and it can be bent and positioned. My only issue I have with it is - is it too distracting? It might be - you tell me....? I'd like to use it, but the color and size concern me.

Cheers to Friday, my Friends.

These projects are just fantastic! Wow. I love how you did the rows of cuttlebugged buttons on the side, along with a few real buttons. And the color scheme is so pretty!
As for the frog, I don't think it's distracting (but also this card the colors go great with it, I realize that. If you like it, use it!

Cute card and goodie bag Michelle. The little frog thingy goes nicely with the colour of your card so it looks great.

I still haven't done anything for Easter so I will be very busy while the boys are at school this week getting all their stuff. I bought the stuff to colour eggs yesterday but don't have any eggs oops. Guess I need to get those today so we can do it this weekend.

Beautiful! I think that flower frog is neat (not distracting at all). Hmmmmm...I think I need to visit an antique store.

Gorgeous, gorgeous treat holder and card!!! Glad you got that done in time for the Verve submission! I think I'll be using the word gorgeous a lot for your blogs and I LOVE that you can find ways to make beautiful projects without all the colouring and time-consuming stuff! I will have to take a page out of your book! I TRY but I usually end up throwing a bunch of embellishments on a project after just because I think I need it!

I like your cardholder, I don't think it's distracting!!!
