Hello and thank you for stopping in on your travels around the card making world in celebration of World Card Making Day. I made 2 cards to share with you today and I really wanted to show you cards that represent my style - - my style, well, I'm not sure it has a name, but I sit down to create and I have no idea what I want my card to look like or what it's going to end up looking like. And because I don't color images, I work with a lot of patterned paper and a lot of embellishments.
This first card I didn't even know was going to be a teacher card until I added my Jenni Bowlin bingo card. It has all those great school words which I thought went well with the little monsters in this Sassafras Lass patterned paper *giggles* The base of my card is Sparkle Vermillion from Paper Temptress and it's this gorgeous sparkly red paper. I also have some great vintage crochet trim from A Million Memories; Best Teacher is by Imaginisce and share laughter is from Hero Arts which I picked up at Craft Warehouse here locally.
For my second card I wanted to get more of that harvesty Halloween look as opposed to the scary/black look so I started with a base of Dark Chocolate from Papertrey Ink. My patterned papers are from BasicGrey and I used another Jenni Bowlin bingo card. I love purple on Halloween cards and I've seen a lot more of that in patterned papers this year which is fabulous so I've used some Plum Pudding ribbon which I folded over and stitched, and ended with a Halloween sentiment from Papertrey stamped in their new Orange Zest pigment ink.
