For the most part I do not like challenges - - especially sketch or color challenges. Sketch challenges even more, I think. When I sit down to make a card I just go where the papers and ideas take me, so knowing at the outset that this has to go here and that has to go down here, is just really hard and stifling for me. Having said that, there is something I like about color challenges and that is how it gets you to put together colors you may not otherwise have paired. This color challenge however was not a challenge for I would have, and have, paired brown and pink and white together before. So it was an easy "challenge" for me.
I kinda don't like the challenges over at SCS though because I think maybe they are cliquey or something. I find that people look at, and comment, on everyone elses cards but mine. Or maybe I just suck? Dunno.
ANYWAY - - here's a card I made for a challenge a couple of weeks ago. Cardstock, sentiment, ink, ribbon and button all from Papertrey Ink. My patterned paper is from the DCWV Sweet paper pack, bingo card and chipboard button from Jenni Bowlin.
Lots to do today: laundry, church, laundry, cards, laundry, NASCAR, laundry and then a hot date tonight with the hubs out to the Melting Pot (fondue place with my Restaurant.com coupon - heh).
Have a great day!

Yeah Michelle, you totally suck! That's why your in CARDS magazine and on a bunch of DTs. (Did you hear my eyes roll?) SCS is one of those IN THE MOMENT places if you don't get your card posted for a challenge within like 8 hours of the challenge being posted, no one will comment. It's lame. Just PM me every time you upload, I'll leave 10 comments for you. :)
Whoops! I love your card! It's super pretty! Those colors are my fave!
Yep, pink and brown together are always fabulous. I love the way you did your ribbon. Can't you just ditch Idaho, move closer, and help me sew on my cards!
Always love that color combo, but the pompoms are really cute. Great stitching and a sweet sentiment. I'd say you suck, but I don't even do cards. So, even if you do suck I wouldn't know. LOL
