Adventures in couponing.

Happy Sunday, Chicas!

I hope you're having a good weekend. I am having the bestest weekend just one-on-one with my son. Took him to Target yesterday to spend a gift card he got for his birthday...then to spend another one at the toy store...then to lunch with his free meal coupon...then the cheapee movie. Did lots - and on the cheap. Because that's how I roll *wink* And about Karate Kid - 2 big thumbs up. Little Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan were so fab. Totally buying that movie for my son for Christmas. Baking cookies this morning before it gets too warm. Alright...back to the cheap....

Oh man, Albertsons went THREE WHOLE WEEKS without doublers this round - I was seriously depressed. Printing and cutting all these coupons and nothing to do with them. Sad. But finally, the wait was over and doublers came out last weekend so off I went on another coupon adventure! A lot of snacky stuff - which can only mean one thing: football season is coming!!

By the numbers:
(16) cans of Taco Bell refried beans
(12) jars of Prego pasta sauce
(6) bags of Fritos Scoops corn chips
(6) cans of Frito Lay dip (3 bean and 3 cheddar)
(6) cans of Libby's peas
(6) bags of Snyders pretzel sammiches (3 cheese and 3 peanut butter)
(6) bags of Nature Valley Nut Clusters
(4) boxes of Ziploc gallon bags with the little slider zip thingy
(2) boxes of Philadelphia cream cheese...the flavored ones (in the refrigerator and not pictured)
(2) Willy Wonka chocolate bars (I was going to mail to a crafty friend in CA, but thought they might melt, so I ate them, I admit it)
(1) box of Ronzoni spaghetti

Actual retail price: $175.73
I paid: $25.12
That's an 86% savings!

Items of note: Prego was regularly priced at $3.39, but on sale 99-cents each (that is a great price on its own). I had coupons for $1 off 2. Double those and they were free. All 12 jars. Libby's can veggies are regularly priced at $1.39 but were on sale for 69-cents each. I had (2) coupons for $1 off 3 cans. Double that. So that made it 7-cents for 3 cans...or 14-cents for my 6 cans...or 2.3-cents each; a smokin' deal any way you break it down.

Have a great Sunday!
