Remember that old knock-knock joke?
The one with banana, banana who?, banana, banana who?, banana, banana who?....orange you glad I didn't say banana? LOL
Orange is one of those colors - you never hear anyone say it's their favorite. Poor orange. What'd it ever do to anyone? :( Well, I've got some pretty pretty pretty, like really pretty orange ribbon to share with you today courtesy of Practicing Creativity Designs. I'm playing along with Courtney and her team with their latest release showcasing lots of new and really hot ribbon (and stamps too); yum-o!
These 3 orange ribbons are new to the store this month. And I {heart} them so. I love wide ribbon. And these 3 are each so different. From easy to form with a subtle wire edge, to easy to mold with a real flowy texture, to holding it's form well having that tight grosgrain feel, these are great ribbons with a lot of versatility.

I've been hanging on to this pretty orange patterned paper from Anna Griffin. I found the print almost intimidating. It's so bold...and really classy. Only an equally bold and classy ribbon would do - and I found it.

I knew I wanted a big bow, so I tied it around the base of my card before doing anything else so that I could have a big side bow.

I laid down my patterned paper over the ribbon using dimensional adhesive.

And then I thought about making a tag - didn't know what I was going to do with it, but I like tags on cards...and they always allow me to use more ribbon *giggles*

Yellow...goes great with orange. So I used this pretty transparency from Hambly on my taggie; and then I stitched down the bottom.

And then thought about topping it with this flowy orange ribbon.

Maybe a little scrunchy would be nice?

Oh yeah - that's pretty.

I finished off my tag - with a sweet sentiment from PCD - and then tied my bow; that's hot.

Voila!

I love the way you stitched that scrunchy ribbon! Bravo!
Gorgeous!! Love how you used the ribbon! Fantastic card! :)
This is GORGEOUS! and NO orange is not my favorite either, but you sure made a case for it here! Way to go girl!
Hey, I LOVE orange! It's just not easy to incorporate into cards because it's so bold. But you did it! FAB card! And how long does it take you to do your "thought about this, maybe some scrunchy, maybe some stitchy..."? would probably take me about 2 weeks or 2 years. LOL
"orange you glad I didn't say banana?" Wow that takes me back. Love the ribbons and what you do with them...so pretty.
Oh I love this one Michelle. The big pop of yellow with the Hambly overlay is fabulous. I'm really loving this ribbon!
EEK, that ribbon is HOT! I love orange! I too love the way you scrunched and stitched the ribbon and that bow~totally HOT!!! Fabulous card, girl :)
Even though it's not my very favorite color, I do love orange, and orange ribbon I find irresistible! I have more ribbon in orange than any other color, which is shocking to me! How gorgeous is *this* ribbon on your card?! And that yellow transparency is to die for. I'm going to have to check out that website . . .
I love orange! It was one of my wedding colors (like a mango orange) and people thought I was off my rocker. You crack me up! Love this tutorial! Please come to my house and teach me how to make pretty cards!
Stunning conclusion!!! And I'm another fan of orange.
First, that's one of my favorite jokes. I always loved it when a kid had just learned it and wanted to tell me. I laugh every time.
Second, I LOVE ORANGE...and yellow - especially together. This card is so brilliant!
I don't think our creating styles could be any more different. And the funny thing is how much I love your style. I can't make things like this, but LOVE looking at it. That ribbon really is fabulous. So perfect for your style!!!
