Happy Saturday - wahoooo!
So much to do this weekend. Cards, laundry - the givens *wink* - then I have to bake bunches of cookies for my uncle's birthday and...I guess make more cards and do more laundry *giggles*
So this Pink Paislee paper pack - Bayberry Cottage. Hands down the most difficult paper to work with ever...at least for me. The colors...the patterns....just not me, I guess. I like the little pleated ribbons that they put out though - got a snippet of some right there on my taggie. And doilies. Doilies are in all over vintage cards and scrapbook layouts these days. I have trouble working with them too. Man, this card was rough from start to finish. Oh well...
Hope your weekend starts off just super!

You did a great job with those papers. I think placing the solid ribbon between the two patterns actually connects them because of the colors. The doily helps to tone down the busyness and I love the pins in the ribbon.
It may have been a rough process, but the result is lovely.
It may have been hard to put together, but the end product looks worth it to me! I agree with you though, not easy patterns to work with!
It may have challenged you Michelle, but the final products is super! Love how you tied it all together!
beautiful use of ribbons!! gorgeous card!
Um, yeah, yeah...whatever Carol said...because the end result is beautiful! I need one of you to give me classes! I love how you decorated the little tag and the strip of pleated ribbon. And the pins bring out the gray in the 2nd patterned paper. Cool.
We all have those cards once in awhile (or often, as the case may be!), and I say they're a learning experience. On this one, I especially like the little tag--it's so unique!
Okay, your "rough" card ended up looking fabulous. I know what you mean about certain things challenging you, though. For me, that's patterend paper! HA!
As usual, you made it work. Love the tag!
It sure turned out pretty though! I haven't tried the doily thing yet, but I really want to. I love how you used the pleated ribbon on the taggie. You have so many out of the box ideas that work wonderfully!
Appreciate yyou blogging this
